(Courtesy of Bris Avrohom) Under the direction of Rabbi Avremy and Chaya Kanelsky (youth and Torah education directors at Bris Avrohom), the children of the community were treated to a special program in preparation for Yud Shevat, when we mark the passing of the previous Lubavitcher Rebbe and celebrate the Rebbe accepting the leadership as the next Lubavitcher Rebbe.

The children were split into two groups with one for boys and one for girls. They each watched a video of the Rebbe giving over the Maamer of Basi Legani, where the Rebbe teaches us that Hashem dwells in each and every one of us and that when we do a mitzvah or learn Torah, we elevate the hidden sparks in the world, which is comparable to a beautiful garden. The children then each made their own edible gardens and everyone took upon themselves positive resolutions in preparation for Yud Shevat.
