On Sunday, September 25, Bris Avrohom of Hillside will be holding their 37th Annual Dinner and 31st Gala Wedding at the Sheraton Parsippany and will also be printing a testimonial journal for this event.

Couples who were denied a religious ceremony in their native countries will be celebrating their religious marriages and affirmation of vows. These couples are from different parts of New Jersey. To date, Bris Avrohom has performed 850 of these religious marriages.

At this year’s dinner the keynote speaker will be Lt. Governor and Secretary of State Kim Guadagno. The Community Service Award will be presented to representatives of New Jersey Transit, who have served the Jewish Community with selfless devotion and dedication in facilitating the placement of Chanukah menorahs through multiple venues. The Guests of Honor will be Drs. Ilya and Polina Lipkin, originally from the former Soviet Union and practicing dentists in New Jersey, who are dedicated supporters of Bris Avrohom’s programs. The Woman of Valor award will be presented to Mrs. Bella Volfman, Bris Avrohom’s Coordinator of Russian Projects for the past 30 years.
