On Sunday, January 17, a group of 40 men and women visited the holy resting place of the Rebbe. This trip was in honor of the 10th of the Hebrew month of Shevat—yahrzeit of the previous Lubavitcher Rebbe and also the day the Rebbe, Menachem Mendel Schneerson, took on the helm of leadership of the Lubavitcher movement. The group then proceeded to 770 Eastern Parkway, Brooklyn, Lubavitch Headquarters, where they prayed in the Rebbe’s private room—the sacred place where the Rebbe had accepted visitors for over 50 years.
Standing in front of 770 on the right side of the group are: Rabbi Baruch Lepkivker, program director of Bris Avrohom and Rabbi Avremy Kanelsky, Torah education and youth director of Bris Avrohom. On the left are Mrs. Shterney Kanelsky, associate director of Bris Avrohom and Mrs. Sara Wilansky, wife of Bris Avrohom’s administrator, Rabbi Dovid Wilansky.
