Bruriah’s annual Spirit Day was an incredibly exciting, fun-filled day showcasing Bruriah’s signature ruach and camaraderie. Students and faculty alike came to school on Wednesday decked out in their finest Bruriah swag and Bruriah Lightning jerseys. Students and faculty received very cool special edition Bruriah socks in honor of Spirit Day.

The day began with an exciting Bruriah themed Kahoot trivia game, followed by an energetic, seat-switching “chair game.” The winners of these competitions were awarded bags of coveted Bruriah swag. Later in the day, competition and Bruriah spirit reached its peak with the annual faculty vs. student machanayim game where the faculty (assisted by the G.O.) emerged victorious.

Spirit Day is one of Bruriah’s most highly anticipated days of the year as it is a day of unbridled Bruriah pride, and the ruach in the building is palpable. Director of Student Life Dena Lichtman specifically opted for Spirit Day right off the heels of winter break as it provided the framework for building relationships and bonding that was needed after time away.
