Bruriah’s middle-school eighth grade embarked on its annual graduation celebration adventure. With Washington, D.C. as the final destination, the trip was guaranteed to educate, inform and delight. The 6:00 a.m. departure from Elizabeth gave the students and chaperones ample time to enjoy each of the stops en route to D.C. The students hit Krispy Kreme first before heading to the White House, various monuments, the Capitol, Smithsonian National Museum of American History and the International Spy Museum—Operation Spy: A Reality Spy Mission. Hampton Inn and Suites was where the students hung their hats for the night, but not before taking in an indoor swim and a late-night party. Day two was more about fun with a tour of the Herr’s factory in Pennsylvania before spending the rest of the day at Six Flags Great Adventure, before making their way back to Bruriah. Nechama Linfield of Elizabeth said, “It’s really fun, even though I’ve been to D.C. before, but going with friends was such a great experience.”
