Bruriah G.O. Shabbaton Uplifts and Inspires

This year’s Bruriah G.O shabbaton was uplifting from start to finish. The G.O. leadership board, with representation from all grades, worked tirelessly to bring an amazing weekend of spiritual growth and fun! A personalized song about the Bruriah experience became the weekend anthem and set the tone of joy, as each girl immersed in spending meaningful time together. The packed Shabbat featured messages of hakarat hatov to Rabbi Oratz, who will be making aliyah at the end of this school year. There were outstanding ruach-building programs to connect students and a program on gratitude from Rabbi Yitzy Haber, who shared his personal story of hope with humor, achieving his goal of “awakening joy in others.” There were interactive ‘rotating rabbis’ shiurim, featuring Bruriah’s very own rebbeim. Thanking Hashem was the theme of the melave malka and an elevating kumzitz transitioned the students into Motzei Shabbat. High energy dancing with a live band following full-size board games and team spirit kept the girls busy into the night. Before students ended the evening, Rabbi Oratz presented an emotional PowerPoint that communicated his love for Bruriah and the power of the Bruriah family. Each student left with genuine smiles after creating long-lasting memories to carry them into the rest of the school year and beyond.
