Bruriah High School kicked off an exciting admissions season with a spectacular Open House on Sunday morning, welcoming over 400 people to Bruriah’s legendary ballroom. The Open House was centered around Bruriah’s four core values: Joyful Learning, Meaningful Relationships, Personal Growth and Self Confidence, all of which the incredible student body and faculty beautifully showcased to prospective applicants and their parents.
Freshman Tali Altmark and senior Becca Gruenebaum spoke to the standing-room only crowd about how each of Bruriah’s core values has positively shaped their school and life experiences, enabling them to develop self-confidence and nurture beautiful friendships in an incredibly warm and welcoming school environment. Alumna Avigayil Mendeles ‘22 spoke about how Bruriah nurtures its students’ ability to grow, discover their passions and become the best versions of themselves through close relationships with faculty and administrators, inspiring spiritual programs, leadership opportunities, and dynamic and challenging courses.
Prospective parents and students then experienced a taste of the Bruriah classroom with sample classes including Tanach, STEM, Halacha, machshava, art, and English literature. Each class demonstrated the engaging and rigorous academic environment of the Bruriah classroom coupled with the school faculty’s signature warmth.
The Open House culminated with a fair in the Bruriah gym where each department represented its academic goals and objectives through a curated display of student work. Tables displayed the myriad of electives, student clubs and committees, academic teams, student life, artwork and so much more. The positive feedback from the morning from parents and students was overwhelming, and student ambassadors, parent ambassadors and Bruriah faculty likewise shared their tremendous pride in being a part of the Bruriah family.
