Bruriah High School students gathered in Hillside this past Motzei Shabbos for a meaningful WINS Program, a Bruriah initiative that offers Torah learning, chesed and friendship. The night started off with packing Shabbos boxes for the Monsey-based organization, Chesed 24/7. The girls then schmoozed while enjoying pizza, candy, cookies and refreshments. The night concluded with an inspirational shiur by the ninth grade Halacha rebbe, Rabbi Chaim Gerson. Rabbi Gerson spoke about finding inspiration even in the darkest of times, which prepared all participants for Tu B’Shevat and the upcoming programs in school for the holiday. A special thanks to the WINS committee for organizing this program and the Hornung family for hosting. Bruriah students grow and feel connected through this student-run initiative.
