To celebrate and inspire a tremendous love of reading, Bruriah students gathered together for its inaugural book slam, an opportunity to discuss their summer reading in small groups. From sci-fi to memoirs to Jewish novels, students were excited to share the books they chose to read over the summer. The program concluded with students and faculty sharing their book recommendations with the entire school, followed by a distribution of specially crafted bookmarks as well as cookies and hot cocoa.
Bruriah’s book slam served as a unifying event that gave recognition to the bonds created through a shared love of the arts.
