Bruriah Faculty gathered together for two dynamic days of professional development workshops to reflect on the incredible accomplishments of the school year as well as collaborate to develop a vision for the future. Focusing on the theme of student engagement, faculty collaborated to develop their curricula across departments and subjects in order to provide deeper and more enriching opportunities for student learning. Faculty also spent time designing and reflecting upon educational belief statements about student engagement as part of Bruriah’s re-accreditation by the Middle States Association. Finally, to close out a banner year of growth at Bruriah, two seniors gave a powerful dvar Torah to faculty in which they compared the Bruriah faculty to the menorah, with the teachers extending their flame to light the spark within their students and igniting their passion, self-confidence and love of learning.
