Bruriah middle-school basketball has a new look this season. Head coach Batsheva Marcus of Staten Island said, “I’m really excited for this season because I have a great group of girls who are fun and motivated. I’m excited to see them work as a team and have a successful season.” From what she’s seeing at practices, the team has height and talent, moves the ball well and is energetic. Marcus is pursuing a degree in physical therapy at Touro College. When she’s not coaching, she’s either playing basketball, jogging, exercising or cooking and baking for her family.
