Elizabeth—The Jewish Educational Center’s Bruriah Junior High School 7th and 8th graders had the opportunity to give back to the community by participating in an after-school “reach out” program in which they packaged cartons of food at Jewish Family Services of Union County for home-bound people. The enthusiasm was tangible as the girls worked together to assemble the packages.
The special evening was topped off with a trip to the pizza shop. A big thank you to Ms. Tirschwell for organizing this program, and to Mrs. Freudenberger for joining along as a chaperon.
