Bruriah High school is thrilled to launch once again its renowned Friday Beis Midrash program. This year-long learning initiative has been a staple at Bruriah for many years, and it is notably led and taught by Bruriah’s very talented alumnae. This program perpetuates Bruriah’s commitment to joyful learning and ahavas haTorah, as alumnae students return to share their vast knowledge of and love of Torah that Bruriah nurtured within them during their own time at Bruriah. It also fosters meaningful relationships between past and present Bruriah students. “I couldn’t resist the opportunity to give back to Bruriah, especially through Torah,” explained Ariella Konigsberg, a participating alumna from Class of 2022. “It’s so special to be able to come back and learn at Bruriah again.”
Each alumna is paired with a chabura of students from each grade, and they craft weekly lessons on a topic of their choice that they will study and master throughout the year. Topics being studied this year include Kabbalas Shabbos and the parsha, making religious growth practical, kumzitz songs, tefillah and emunah. Through this unique initiative, generations of Bruriah students foster a sense of community, inspiration and pride in being part of the Bruriah Family.
