(Bruriah sports) On Monday Night, the Bruriah Lightning JV Basketball Team concluded an incredible season in their championship victory against their formidable opponents from SKA with a final score of 44-33. This game was filled with nervous anticipation from most of the team, especially considering they lost to SKA earlier in the regular season. Coach Dena Lichtman believes that this earlier setback was the driving force behind their ultimate triumph: “The team’s intense desire to win motivated them to push themselves beyond their limits.”

Reflecting upon the journey of their team throughout the season, captains Shoshana Pinsker and Talia Braun marveled at their teammates. Pinsker commented, “Each player is so skillful. Our coach gives adjustments mid-game, and by the next play, they are already implementing that change.” Braun added, “Each individual player is so talented, but when we learn to work together as a team, it allows each player to be at the top of her game.”
