Bruriah’s BB1 basketball team played its home opener in front of many fans. The team jumped out to a 16-0 lead vs. Ilan and had a strong first quarter. The second quarter was a bit more tricky and Ilan scored eight points; however, Bruriah was still ahead. The Lightning was persistent and remained ahead the entire game, finishing at 42-21. All the players on Bruriah’s team saw playing time and contributed to the fun and entertaining game.

Continuing its strong start, BB1 took a road game against a feisty Magen David team to come away with a hard fought 37-22 victory. Solid teamwork, crisp passes and tight defense helped bring Bruriah’s record to 3-0.
