Bruriah Lightning Softball Cruises into the Playoffs

For the final game of the season, Bruriah hosted the Heschel Heat.

Bruriah started off with strong defense, stopping anything that came their way. Throughout the game, everyone had good hits, all contributing to the score. Daphna Becker hit two triples, while Tovah Weiskopf and Shayna Rozensweig both hit doubles. Lea Lefkowitz was walked and Dassy Dominitch had great at bats. Meira Motechin held the fort at first base and Shira Allen fielded both pop ups and grounders and whatever else was hit her way. With Basya Goldstein’s amazing pitching, the Lightning held Heschel to just one run, with a final score of 10-1.

Bruriah has now finished off the season undefeated, 8-0, and they are the West Division Champions. The Lightning will host SAR in the first round of the playoffs on Sunday June 1 @ 6 p.m.
