In honor of Yom HaShoah, Annette Lauer from the Elizabeth community, shared her story with the Bruriah Middle School students about living through the Holocaust. Lauer, originally from Belgium, had to relocate and hide in France and Switzerland when she was 5-years-old. She shared the challenges she and her family faced during this difficult time. Lauer told the girls that throughout the Holocaust her mother always made sure to believe in Hashem.
