Bruriah Middle School Loves Yom Ha’atzmaut

Bruriah Middle School celebrated Yom Ha’atzmaut in a very meaningful and fun way. Students started their day by hearing from some people who live in Israel. It was inspiring to hear them share what makes living in Israel so special. Their day then continued with a first ever Zoom color war! Teams Yerushalayim and Chevron went all out, working for two days in advance of the program to prepare for the big day. Competitions included a banner, song, skit, cheers and badges for each student with specific criteria. The school also had a chidon with questions about Eretz Yisrael from Tanach and an Israel scavenger hunt. Races and talent challenges, including speaking Hebrew with a partner for a full minute and doing tasks with a book on your head kept everyone laughing. It was amazing to see the teamwork displayed!
