The students of the art electives at Bruriah come prepared and eager to create. Whether it is their depiction of Henri Matisse’s goldfish swimming in a bowl, picking through refuse to find items that will be used in an assemblage for a lesson on Louise Nevelson or mastering one-point perspective, they’re up for the challenge. Students receive individual attention from Barri Rifkin, an artist who received her BA in fine art and MA in art education and comes with 20 years of experience teaching art.
