Bruriah Principal Checks In on Graduates in Israel

Rabbi Oratz, Bruriah’s principal, continued the school tradition of visiting Bruriah graduates learning in Israel during the Thanksgiving break. This has been a tradition for over 30 years, as Bruriah was a pioneer in checking in on graduates early in the year to support the progress and growth of its students in seminary the year after they graduate. The 10-day trip also includes a melave malka reunion sponsored by the school. The girls have an opportunity to benefit from a connection that was built in four years during their high school experience and gain insight from their school leader as they adjust to their new surroundings. A year in Israel is a major transition, as the immersion in Torah learning and independence prepares many Jewish young women in the best possible way for her future. Giving Bruriah graduates a moment to connect with their Bruriah past is priceless!
