Bruriah freshmen ushered in the 2018-2019 with glee. The freshmen had an orientation tailored to help connect each of them with their grademates, the faculty and the school itself. Principal Rabbi Joseph Oratz and Assistant Principal Sherry Krupka welcomed the freshmen before setting off for the day’s activities which included getting to know their grade coordinator Rina Kasper and the grade advisors. The students decorated mirrors to put on their lockers, asked the GO student government pressing questions that come up in the new school experience and had lunch together followed by an ice cream dessert. The students had a blast getting acquainted with Bruriah by going on a scavenger hunt and finding their clues using a QR code and snapping a Polaroid at each stop!!! Bruriah kicked-it up for the high school on its first full day of school with donuts, time for the students to catch-up after the summer, a game of HQ and a school-wide game of Simon Says, with the master himself, Steve Max. The GO student government unveiled this year’s theme of “Oh, the places we will go” and distributed water bottles with the theme.
