Bruriah High School’s freshmen are off to a great start with friendships and fun, thanks to their incredible grade advisors Mrs. Tamar Kaminetsky and Mrs. Rena Teitelbaum. Students sat in two giant circles in the gym and played lightning rounds to get to know each other. Afterwards, students enjoyed a delicious waffle and pancake breakfast bar to cap off a fantastic program.
Director of Academic Enrichment Mrs. Margueya Poupko brought students from various grades together during lunch period to kick off another stimulating year of Points to Ponder, a highly popular learning program in which all high school read and discuss a text together in each of their classes and then come together as a school to reflect on the question as well as enjoy delicious seasonal treats. This month’s question: How do we forgive ourselves and each other?
Dr. Bethany Strulowitz shared, “One of the most remarkable things about Bruriah is how quickly the students each year welcome each other and form lifelong friendships. This can only be accomplished because of our incredibly warm faculty who are dedicated to cultivating meaningful relationships and nurturing a positive school culture.”
