Bruriah seventh grader Shana Schwartz of Hillside achieved a high score on the first round of exams in the international Chidon HaTanach competition.
“Her efforts mark a lot of learning and effort,” said Bruriah Junior High Coordinator Mrs. Zehava Greenwald. “A special thanks goes to Shalva Eisenberg, a senior at Bruriah, who coaches Shana,” she said. “Shalva herself has been involved in Chidon Hatanach, and has even scored high enough to enter the international round in Israel.”
Shana advances to the next round and will take the expanded February 1 exam covering assorted perakim in Sefer Devarim and Melachim Aleph. Her commitment to Torah learning and dedication to excellence is what Bruriah is all about.
