The American Council of Teachers of Russian (ACTR) has named Bruriah junior, Elisheva Schofield from Passaic, a 2015 Russian Scholar Laureate for her sincere passion and outstanding progress in learning Russian language and culture.

Each June, the American Council of Teachers of Russian designates ACTR Russian Scholar Laureates. Every school where Russian is taught may designate one outstanding sophomore or junior for this award. There can be only one award per school. Any school that has more than 100 students studying Russian may nominate two students.
