Many of the Torah Bowl teams this year have been unable to perform due to COVID-19 restrictions; however, Torah Bowl has managed to continue virtually. This past week, Bruriah competed in their first competition of the season against Ilan, SKA and HANC. Bruriah was victorious and won by a score of 26 out of 60 questions correct. Students were glad that Torah Bowl creator, Rabbi Wolofsky, developed an online alternative. Co-Captain Ahuva Becker stated, “The competition was really exciting even though it had to be virtual and the amount of work each girl put into the competition really created such a fun experience!” Co-Captain Atarah Mandel said, “We’re really grateful to Rabbi Wolofsky for creating a way for us to continue Torah bowl amidst the pandemic. It’s a great opportunity to learn Torah outside of school and work together as a team.” Bruriah Torah Bowl participants can’t wait for what is in store for the rest of the season.
