(Bruriah sports) After an unbelievable 11-0 undefeated season, the Bruriah Lightning varsity volleyball team made it look easy as they cruised to victory in the championship against Shulamith LI. This game continues the dynasty of the Lightning volleyball team, which has only lost one game in the last three seasons combined.

Captain Daniella Levy praised “the achdus of the team,” while Captain Aliza Hook emphasized “hard work and constant improvement,” as key to their success. Captain Rachelli Gewirtzman highlighted the team’s supportive environment.

Prior to the start of each game the team studies a halacha of shemiras halashon together.  “Learning together before each game gives us a boost in our personal growth and in our overall morale and sportsmanship,” explained Levy.

Reflecting on the season, coach Miriam Brickman noted, “Each player brought her unique strengths to the court, but it was our team’s ability to synchronize our skills and build trust in each other that propelled us to victory.”
