On Sunday morning, Bruriah welcomed hundreds of prospective students and parents into the building to showcase the academic excellence and signature warmth for which Bruriah is known. The hallways were lined with a record number of student ambassadors who happily volunteered their Sunday morning, excited to represent Bruriah and show prospective families what makes Bruriah so special.
The morning began with a program in the packed Bruriah ballroom. Highlights of the program were the student speakers senior Elisheva Finkelstein, freshman Ruthie Segal and alumna speaker Miriam Sheinson ‘22 who beautifully embody the Bruriah mission and outstanding student capabilities. Included in the presentation were messages from Principal Dr. Bethany Strulowitz and Assistant Principal Debbie Bornstein who highlighted Bruriah’s emphasis on joyful and engaging learning, meaningful relationships, growth and self-confidence through its numerous academic offerings, student opportunities, programs and positive environment. Prospective students and parents then sampled an array of stellar Bruriah classes including Chumash, STEM, English, Halacha and art.
The Open House culminated with a fair in the Bruriah gym where each department represented its academic goals and objectives through a curated display of student work. Tables displayed the myriad of electives, student clubs and committees, academic teams, student life and much more. The feedback from the Open House was overwhelmingly positive with prospective students and parents commenting on the incredible warmth of the school and its genuine care for each and every student. Student and parent ambassadors shared their tremendous pride in being a part of the Bruriah family.
