Over seventy Bruriah students, parents and faculty attended a recent Motzei Shabbat WINS program at the home of Bruriah students Fruma and Baila Landa in Hillside.

WINS, incepted by Bruriah Navi teacher Mrs. Amy Tropp several years ago, stands for ‘W’omen’s ‘I’nspiration ‘N’ight’S,’and was developed as a positive growth-oriented opportunity for Bruriah students and women of all ages during the winter months.

The recent event featured the renowned motivational speaker Ms. Chevi Garfinkel,who is also the senior Machshava teacher at Bruriah. She spoke on the topic of connecting to Hashem and left the crowd mesmerized.

“I would hear Ms. Garfinkel speak anywhere. WINS was a great vehicle to get inspired by her. She is so passionate.” said attendee Mrs. Alyson Fournier, who is on staff at Bruriah.

WINS planning committee member Sarena Wiederkher, a junior from Teaneck, shared how speakers for the program, which runs several times over the course of the season, are drawn from a broad pool of well-known inspirational and dynamic personalities. “Personally, I attend WINS as a fulfilling way to spend Motzei Shabbos,” she said.

The evening culminated with a melave malka featuring pizza and a delectable dessert buffet, complemented by singing and joyful camaraderie.
