Builder School Welcomes New General Studies Faculty

The Builder School is excited to announce the addition of two veteran educators to its General Studies team: Daniel Rosenberg and Ann Brodsky.

With over 20 years of experience in the education field, Rosenberg joins the Builder School as an accomplished educator and administrator. He comes on board as the school’s curriculum developer.

Rosenberg is head of school at Carden Arbor View School in Upland, California. He has previously worked in a variety of schools serving as a k-12 teacher, gifted program founder and director, interim head of school, lower school head, middle school head and director of Academic Affairs. He earned a bachelor’s of science in mathematics with a minor in Business Administration from Carnegie Mellon University, an MBA from The University of Pittsburgh, and a master’s degree in education from Duquesne University. He has served on the boards of nonprofit organizations, worked as a coach for the National Principals Leadership Institute, and presented at a wide range of local, state and national conferences.

Rosenberg’s leadership philosophy informs his belief in the importance of empowering, engaging, and energizing students and faculty to work collaboratively. He credits his work ethic, passion for academic excellence and commitment to fostering community success to the diversity of his work experience. Rosenberg will use his prodigious talents to help craft the general studies curriculum at the Builder School.

Ann Brodsky is passionate about language education. She herself is a lifelong language learner, having studied at the Sorbonne in Paris and the Pushkin Institute in Moscow.

Brodsky’s foreign language expertise is known in the Jewish high school world as she was the creator of an award winning Russian language program at Bruriah High School. With a master’s degree in Applied Linguistics from Teachers College, Columbia University, she is also a veteran instructor of English as a Second Language, SAT verbal prep and business communication. In her current position at Hunter College, Brodsky mentors student teachers in the graduate TESOL (Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages) Program.

Brodsky will be bringing her extensive knowledge of language acquisition to the Builder School’s Ivrit and English language programs.
