Sheryl Intrator Urman of Englewood and Fred Spinowitz of Westchester have worked together for close to 10 years curating art shows in New York and New Jersey. They want to provide artists with more exposure and opportunities. The curators always use the same formula of creating a broad theme for a show, and then combining a unified message with the requirement of a written statement. They then offer a professional and juried art exhibition.
The art exhibitions Urman and Spinowitz curate usually offer learning components and art education. In the past they have hosted various schools and residents at the Jewish Home at Rockleigh, and have co-sponsored a charity event with Sharsheret.
Currently, they are seeking artists over the age of 18 who meet the requirements set forth in the
prospectus, which can be found at https:tinyurl.com/ycshmx83, to participate in a juried art exhibition which will be held at the Belskie Museum of Art and Science from February 5 through 26.
The deadline to enter is January 18.
For more information about the exhibition, to co-sponsor your charity event, to learn about scheduled artist talks or to reserve a time to bring a school or senior citizens group to the show, contact Urman at artforlearning@yahoo.
The Belskie Museum of Art and Science is located at 280 High Street in Closter.
