Imagine trying to cram a lot of fun and excitement in with inspiration and deep resonating meaning? It’s a pretty daunting and tall order. But CDG staff aren’t daunted and this week was all of the above.
Shabbos Chazon was simply extraordinary as everyone learned and prepared for Tisha B’Av. The zemiros were extra special with beautiful songs expressing love for Am Yisroel.
Sunday featured an enjoyable game of laser tag, followed by the cantata, with heartfelt songs to prepare for Tisha B’Av. Tisha B’Av in camp is always an elevating experience. The staff invest tremendous time and effort to ensure that the program is geared for campers to gain the most, in a way that speaks to them, with beautiful stories and lessons for growth.
Wednesday morning bright and early campers boarded coach buses and set out on the long-awaited trip to Guppy Gulch. It was amazing. There are over three-dozen huge inflatables spread out over the lake, with various levels of challenge. After climbing to the top, campers could slide back into the water or jump off from the top.
After a picture perfect day of activities and swim on Thursday, campers packed the theater for CDG’s Got Talent. Campers had the opportunity to demonstrate their various talents—singing, unraveling Rubik’s Cubes, performing magic tricks, Diablo and more. After an amazing week, CDG has arrived at the home stretch.
