Camp Dora Golding celebrated Purim in July this week, with hamantaschen at breakfast. Campers walked around in costumes and parents loved seeing the pics on Instagram and voting on the best costume.

As if the day wasn’t exciting enough, it also featured a surprise pool party from the beloved Thank You Hashem group. It was incredible to be able to dance to the live DJ music on the final day before the Three Weeks began. They also gave away tons of merch, including T-shirts.

Night activity was “Let’s Make a Deal,” the favorite night activity of the summer. Campers, clad in costumes, were called on stage where they won anything from chips and soda to a ride with Alex in his slingshot or cash. A couple of boys won $50.

After the fast, the older divisions headed out for an overnighter at Sky Zone. They returned to camp at 5 a.m. to grab a few hours of sleep … before leaving on the next trip to Dorney Park.

This week also featured July Madness challenges and an exciting mentalist show on Thursday night. What a fantastic week!
