On Sunday, August 13, Camp Mesorah came together with Yachad for the Annual 5k Run. This year’s run was a “Super Run,” which spread the message that we are all super heroes of inclusion. The Mesorah/Yachad partnership is a very special one. The Yachad programs in Camp Mesorah include a Camper Integration Program (CIP) and a Vocational Training Program. The CIP program brings children with a wide range of special needs to camp with additional support from a Yachad-trained counselor in their bunk. The Vocational Program brings adults with special needs to work in various capacities in Camp Mesorah, assisting in different specialties throughout the day.
Everyone in camp received a bright orange Super Run hero cape and those who raised additional tzedakah received various Yachad swag and a canteen pizza party!
Yachad would like to thank all of the runners who participated and those who supported them.
Funds raised go to support the Yachad program in Camp Mesorah. You can still donate at Mesorah.teamyachad.com
