Camp Rakefet Is the Camp for Tween Girls

(Courtesy of Camp Regesh) Does your tween daughter want an awesome sleepaway camp experience while sleeping in the comfort of her own home? Rakefet, Camp Regesh’s best kept secret, is a unique summer program for tween girls entering sixth, seventh and eighth grades. Rakefet, meaning beautiful flower in Hebrew, is hosted on the magnificent 20 acre camp grounds of Camp Regesh, giving campers access to everything a sleepaway camp has to offer while sleeping at home.

The Regesh campus at 284 Orangeburgh Road, Old Tappan, New Jersey boasts three pristine underground pools, two of which are oversized, sandy beach and boating lake, ropes course and zip line, pedal carts course, tailored fields and courts of every sort including its newest addition, a AstroTurf baseball field, beautiful areas shaded by canopies of trees, and indoor air conditioned activity rooms and dance studios.

Beyond the amazing Regesh programming, Rakefet campers enjoy specialized activities geared just for them, such as floral arranging, paint-with-me, hair styling and much more! Aside from the weekly shows, trips and attractions built in to the awesome Regesh calendar, Rakefet is treated to a variety of the coolest weekly trips tween girls enjoy. Glassworks, Mountain Creek Zipline, The Adventure Park at the Discovery Museum (challenging outdoor ropes course), water tubing and Ocean Odyssey exhibit in Times Square are just a few.

Rakefet rocks the camp! As the oldest division in Camp Regesh, all their activities take on a more sophisticated form. In swim the girls train for and perform an aqua show for the camp, and in dance they practice a professional, specialized dance which they perform toward the end of the summer. They also have opportunities to exercise their leadership skills like when they plan, organize and execute a phenomenal carnival for the entire camp.

In Rakefet, emphasis is placed on learning, growing and giving. The girls gain from a unique learning program including both yediot and hashkafot and they merge fun and meaning when they organize special food packaging for the IDF soldiers or when they bake cookies and perform for a group of seniors, many of which are Holocaust survivors.

Rakefet is the one of a kind sleep-at-home summer experience for tween girls, blending wholesome fun, recreation, trips, meaning and leadership.
