Although the summer of fun at Camp Shalom has come to a close, the last days of camp made for the most thrilling week yet! The excitement began as every other week—creative as always with messy masterpieces, competitive baseball games and sliding down water slides.

Much of the energy, at least on the girls side, surrounded the highly anticipated Oh Show! The Oh! Drama girls dressed up, performed and recorded the YouTube streamed presentation of “Witches vs. Princesses.” This year, the girls not only performed but also wrote the music as well as some of the lines. In addition, the Oh! Art students filmed and presented their stunningly creative art pieces as a culmination of the summer long intensive art program. The YouTube premiere included custom premier boxes filled with popcorn, snacks and a one of a kind playbill to enjoy as they watched the show from the comfort of their home. After the private viewing, the girls performed for other campers and counselors in the girls division.

The week ended with a show of Camp Shalom pride for all and an amazing concert by Eli Marcus and the Gershon Freishtat band. There is no doubt that this summer is ending on a high note and that the campers are all overjoyed by the amazing summer they had at Camp Shalom 2020!
