CareOne at Teaneck is proudly sponsoring a unique Tisha B’Av film and Zoom experience to benefit the Holocaust education initiatives of the Northern New Jersey Holocaust Memorial and Education Center. It will feature the impactful, historical docudrama by director and producer Roberta Grossman and executive producer Nancy Spielberg called “Who Will Write Our History,” the story of Emanuel Ringelblum and the Oyneg Shabes Archive, the secret archive he created and led in the Warsaw Ghetto. With 30,000 pages of writing, photographs, posters and more, the Oyneg Shabes Archive is the most important cache of in-the-moment, eyewitness accounts from the Holocaust. Narrated by Adrien Brody and Joan Allen, this docudrama tells the courageous story of those who risked their lives so that the story of life in the Warsaw Ghetto would be told from a Jewish perspective.
The film link will be available on Wednesday, July 28, and the live Zoom with Nancy Spielberg and Roberta Grossman will take place at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday, Tisha B’Av.
The minimum donation is $36, with sponsorships available.
