CBY Youth Department Brings Light to Darkness

(Courtesy of Congregation Bnai Yeshurun) There are approximately 240 of our brothers and sisters currently being held hostage by barbaric terrorists in the Gaza strip. Their whereabouts are unknown, their wellbeing is unknown and their families are in a constant state of anguish.

While our community continues to increase its learning of Torah, its heartfelt prayer and its mitzvah performance in the merit of the swift return of the hostages, Congregation Bnai Yeshurun’s David Frohlich z”l Youth Department, led by amazing Youth Directors Rivka and Rabbi Yehoshua Szafranski, has planted 240 lamps outside of the shul, to showcase the community’s unwavering support for Am Yisrael and Eretz Yisrael. As long as our brothers and sisters are in trouble, as long as there are terrorists trying to flood the world with darkness, it behooves each and every one of us to do our part to fill the world with light.

נר ה’ נשמת אדם

(משלי כ׳:כז)

The soul of a human is the lamp of Hashem (Mishlei, 20:27)

We beseech the Borei Olam to return the hostages to their homes, healthy in body and spirit.
