CDG Heads Out on Trip Week

This week at CDG was amusement park/trip week. On Tuesday, the younger three divisions headed out for a day of fun at Dorney Park. Dorney was quickly filled with elated campers wearing orange CDG shirts going on rides and having a blast. The same was true with the older divisions at Hershey Park on Wednesday.

The Malchus Supreme program headed out for their final trip of the summer. It included an Orioles game at Camden Yards, a night swim at the hotel, Spooky Nook sports complex, a surprise year-end banquet dinner at David Chu’s China Bistro, followed by a rented-out bowling alley. The trip ended with them meeting up with the older divisions at Hershey Park.

The Ya’alozu wilderness program made slingshots and did coal burning. They ended their summer with color war which included sports and swim competitions, Apache race and a paperclip challenge. The crescendo was the three-course cookout which each team presented to the judges.

The final night of the trip featured trophy presentations for league winners of all divisions. But the highlight was the incredible “max miles” auction for learning. There were over 100 prizes raffled off. The top-level prizes included many tickets to sports games, a Pete Alonso autographed bat, Aaron Judge autographed jersey, Cooper Kupp autographed helmet, exciting packages, AirPods, Beats and two PS5s. It was incredible!
