It’s been a week of nonstop action and fun at camp Dora Golding. Motzei Shabbos, after an intense cleanup in anticipation of Visiting Day, campers celebrated the annual Chef Yo ice cream party. Sweeeeet! What an honor and pleasure it was to host hundreds of esteemed parents and grandparents on Sunday for Visiting Day.
CDG’s first ever Israel Day on Monday was sababa. The highlight of this week was the trip to Dorney Park and the beautiful weather helped make it a perfectly amazing afternoon. Campers also enjoyed a CDG first this week with two days of July Madness, CDG style.
The CDG “Max Miles” learning program has become renowned for its unparalleled prizes. But the roof almost came off the dining room, when the $2500 autographed jersey of the Angels’ wonder-player, Shohei Ohtani, was presented to the camp this week. Some lucky camper who excelled in his learning this summer will win that prize, among many other incredible prizes at the Max Miles auction in a little over a week.
Thursday night featured the camp’s first major play, a Rabbi Mayer Erps cantata that helped prepare campers for Tisha B’Av.
The Malchus Supreme traveling program went on yet another three-day trip this week to Baltimore and beyond.
