From 11 to 5 on Sunday, August 26, Cedar Market was bustling indoors as well as outdoors with live entertainment for kids of all ages. In launching the celebration of their fifth anniversary, the market offered customers hundreds of items at reduced costs as well as tasting opportunities and fun activities. Sighted among the visitors were significant numbers of grandparents, who seemed to be enjoying at least as much as their grandchildren in tow. The requisite cotton candy and popcorn offerings were accompanied by lively DJ music, balloon sculptures, a photography booth, face-painting and magicians.
The Sale-A-Bration spanned one week, each day of which offered tastings by food manufacturers, some well-known as well as some new to the market. On Sunday, along with the always popular Meal Mart hot dogs, free samples were offered by Chopsie’s, NY Pasta, Baked By Bibis and Dyna-Sea. Monday offered Chameleon Cold Brew, Marzipan Bakery and California Gourmet. On Tuesday, samples by The Cheese Guy, Goodpop, Gluten Free SY were distributed. Wednesday featured products by Schindler’s and Esti Foods. Thursday was packed with tasty offerings from Nutrition by Tanya, Granolachik, DIPZ, Senter Honey Bee Farm and The Rebbe’s Choice. On Friday, Natural & Kosher and Craize Maize Thins distributed samples.
Throughout the week, numerous items for your Yom Tov table were available at reduced prices. Fresh produce as well as meat, dairy, frozen and grocery items were included in the Sale-A-Bration. Sushi and seafood, deli and dairy grab n’go, appetizing and bakery goods were included.
Yossi Hollander and Zach Schwartz as well as the entire Cedar crew were delighted to be offering the community hundreds of food items at reduced costs as well as an enjoyable pre-Yom Tov shopping experience. “This was our gift to the community for their patronage and loyalty these last five years. Hopefully it will continue as we endeavor to meet the needs and wants of our customers.”
