Celebrate Shabbat at a Retreat for Body and Soul

(Courtesy of Shabbat Inspire) The “Shabbos Project” began several years ago in South Africa, but quickly sprouted wings and spread across the globe. Ever since, it has united Jews from far-flung communities in their shared observance of “Just One Shabbos” the way it was meant to be celebrated.

With the help of Isaac Gross, Project Inspire brought the Shabbos Project to Brooklyn, where dozens of communities in Flatbush and Boro Park united in a memorable Shabbat of inspiration, reaching out to their unaffiliated brothers and sisters, hosting and nurturing and creating bonds that will last for a lifetime.

Last year, Project Inspire’s Shabbos Project weekend moved yet a notch above, uniting 600 participants in an upscale hotel for a Shabbat of elevation, with world-renowned speakers, delectable cuisine and inspiration that lingered all year.

This year, reservations for the Shabbat Retreat for the Body and Soul, to be held on November 15-17 at the Woodcliff Lake Hilton Hotel, are filling up fast. Unprecedented in its numbers and growth, the retreat will unite nearly 1,000 Jews of varying backgrounds and communities under one roof, to reconnect, recharge and reclaim that special Shabbat glow.

With presentations by “Rav Gav” Friedman, Rabbi Jonathan Rietti, Rabbi Tzvi Sytner and Nili Couzens, all of them world-renowned speakers, the Shabbat retreat offers a star-studded lineup of entertainment and inspiration.

Here is just a sampling: Combat instructor and counter-terrorism specialist Steve Gar, celebrity chef Jamie Geller with a massive pre-Shabbat challah bake, keynote address by the inimitable Rabbi Shlomo Farhi of the Edmond Safra Synagogue, laughter games for women with Debbie Hirsch, ruach and davening by the Traveling Chasidim, late night babysitting and stellar children’s program, international wine tasting, Zumba and more.

The Shabbat Retreat for the Body and Soul is Shabbat like you’ve never celebrated before. Presented by Project Inspire, a program of Aish HaTorah.
