Celebrating Third Anniversary, RAIN Adds Full-Service In-House Catering, Certified Kosher Under RCBC

RAIN, the premiere event space in Teaneck, celebrates its third year with exciting news. RAIN recently expanded to include an in-house catering division its clientele will be able to utilize for the ultimate one-stop planning experience. RAIN already had lighting, audio, video, and other services on site; adding a full-service catering group will create a 100% stress-free environment for those making a simcha or planning an event. Kashrut continues to be a priority at RAIN, so the RCBC has been brought in to supervise the in-house catering. While clients may still bring in their own RCBC or OU caterer of choice, RAIN management is optimistic they are providing a service in high demand.

This latest addition is the obvious next step for the ever-popular RAIN, which expanded its 6,000-square-foot indoor event space last year to include an additional 4,000-square-foot outdoor patio area. The outdoor area proved quite popular 10 months a year with its astroturf surface, festoon lighting and outdoor heaters system. People seem to love the opportunities an open air space can provide, and the people at RAIN seem to feed on one’s creativity and imagination.

RAIN began as a passion project to provide families with a simple, stress-free and one-stop shop to host their upcoming simchas, while providing a high-quality event and solid value to each family. RAIN’s ultimate mission is to allow each client to plan their event by choosing their event location, catering menu, music and decor in under an hour. Scotty Gartenberg, RAIN’s event director, jokingly admits that a simcha clearly takes longer to plan, but the ease of booking an event is RAIN’s sole focus. “I fully understand how stressful booking a simcha can be, and I want to ensure that each family enjoys every aspect of their special day without the stress of planning the event,” said Gartenberg. Later, charities, non-profits and area companies saw the ease in which an event could be produced at RAIN, and so corporate functions now account for a large percentage of RAIN events.

RAIN reinvented the simcha and event planning model years ago. Included in one’s rental is a state-of-the-art sound system and audio complement, cutting-edge video technology with a vast array of screens and projectors, chairs, tables, glow-up fixtures, and bar. “Too often people book a room and then need to make a dozen calls to vendors for all the gear; we take great pride in our “care-free” system in which we at RAIN are the one and only call one has to make,” added Gartenberg. RAIN’s design team is on hand to customize each event, so whether it’s a simcha, luncheon or charity dinner, each host will have their unique look and feel.

To execute this vision and plan of superior quality, high value and booking ease, the team at RAIN interviewed local families prior to building out the event space in an effort to fully understand the needs of the community. It was quite clear from the beginning that everyone had different tastes, priorities and concerns, but almost every family interviewed stated that they wanted a beautiful event space without the stress of the booking process. The majority of families asked for a one-stop shop for everything, which has become the mission of RAIN. RAIN also has on hand party planners, corporate hospitality experts and a design team ready to work with those who are looking for that degree of service.
