Kindergarten students at Lubavitch on the Palisades celebrated the accomplishment of learning ten “red words” with a party. Red words are often high-frequency sight words that can not be sounded out based on phonetic rules and are taught through repetition and memorization. Children dressed up in red clothing, ate red foods and played games to reinforce and review the red words.
