Preschoolers at Chabad of Tenafly are having a blast exploring nature in preparation for Tu B’Shevat. They created their own grass heads with seeds, dirt and stockings, and even added googly eyes and drew mouths on their creations. The children can’t wait to watch their “hair” grow. They have been excitedly checking on their potatoes to observe them sprouting roots and have also been singing and dancing to Tu B’Shevat songs. They loved creating artwork with trees and have also been learning about the importance of trees through books in Hebrew and English, learning about all the different parts such as roots, branches, leaves and blossoms.
