Chabad of WO Marks Opening of New Center at Ribbon Cutting Ceremony

West Orange—With the snip of giant scissors through a gold ribbon, Chabad of West Orange dedicated its new home on June 14. Rabbi Mendy Kasowitz, director of Chabad of West Orange; West Orange Mayor Robert Parisi; Rabbi Moshe Herson, Dean of the Rabbinical College of America; supporter Jed Katz and many others joined in officially opening the center.

“We accomplished a major goal and this location gives us an opportunity to reach more individuals and offer more services to our growing community,” said Kasowitz. “Our future is bright and we look forward to expanding our work. We know this is just the beginning and we have a lot more to accomplish.”

Chabad of West Orange is described as a place where all are welcome to pray, grow, socialize and study in an atmosphere of warmth and belonging.

Following the official ceremony, a special event was held inside, which included a dinner and program honoring couples from the founders to the supporters of Chabad of West Orange. Also honored that evening was the team of professionals who worked on the project.

The center is located at 401 Pleasant Valley Way in West Orange.
