CHADD of Bergen to Offer Lecture on  the Lesser-Known Symptoms of ADHD

At their October meeting, CHADD (Children and Adults with ADHD) of Bergen County will welcome Rabbi Shmuel (Samuel) Reich, an ADHD life coach who also teaches at Yeshivas Ohr Reuven in Suffern, New York. The title of his lecture is “The Lesser-Known Symptoms of ADHD: It Looks Willful, But It’s Not.”

“The purpose of the talk is to help both those with ADHD and those who care for/teach those with ADHD to be aware that there are behaviors that are functions of ADHD other than the well-known symptoms of hyperactivity and erratic attention,” Rabbi Reich told The Jewish Link. “Knowing that these behaviors are due to ADHD rather than willful can drastically change the approach to dealing with them.”

The event is open to educators, parents and teens, as well as any other interested members of the public. It will be held Monday, October 7, at Valley Hospital, at 223 Van Dien Avenue, in Ridgewood, from 8:00-9:15 p.m. For regular meeting listings, please visit https://tinyurl.com/yyspb6yt.
