(Courtesy of Chai Lifeline) More than 50 Israeli children who are facing not only cancer but also the harsh realities of war and displacement, will be attending Camp Simcha this summer. Camp Simcha is Chai Lifeline’s renowned, medically supervised summer program for children with cancer and other serious illnesses, held in the serene Catskills Mountains in New York. The Englewood community hosted a group of Israeli girl campers when they arrived in the U.S., providing a warm welcome before they headed up for the most magical summer.
