Cheder Yaldei Menachem began the year with a blast as children excitedly entered the classrooms and sounds of cheer filled the hallways. It also began with another type of blast—the shofar’s blast! As it is customary during the month of Elul, Rabbi Avremy blew the shofar in all CYM classes. Children explored shofars experimenting with their royal trumpet sounds, reminding us of Hashem’s special closeness to us. This month of Elul, He comes to spend time with us, His precious people, propelling us to be the best we can be. It is also a precious opportunity to turn to Him with any request. He graciously accepts them all. At CYM Hashem’s love is felt and we ask Him to bless us with a great year in school and at home, with family and friends—amen!
