Cheder Yaldei Menachem was inspired by Avraham Avinu in the special mitzvah of hachnasat orchim. They got very busy being gracious hosts! Some classes practiced setting the table, others prepared delicious food to serve. Most important was exploring what makes their guests feel welcome, then exercising those skills. The children stepped into Avraham’s tent then washed their hands and feet just like in the parsha. The highlight was actually inviting over another class to join. It provided an opportunity to solidify what they learned. When all was said and done, everyone thanked Hashem. CYM is truly following in the footsteps of Avraham and Sarah!
