Chesed Opportunities for Chol Hamoed Sukkot

• As children are home from school, and families are trying to put together holiday meals, JFS is inundated with more food requests than ever. With newly installed freezer and refrigeration, Jewish Family Service will accept, on October 19, October 20, October 21, and October 23 (and beyond), not only shelf-stable food, but fresh and frozen UNOPENED food products. Milk, eggs, cheese, bread and frozen foods are especially needed. Please make sure expiration dates are acceptable. Fresh items should be three days to a week from expiration. Pantry staples like peanut butter, canned goods, pasta and cereal are always appreciated. Please check their expiration dates as well. All items past their expiration dates must be discarded by law. Donations can be dropped off to 1485 Teaneck Rd, Teaneck, NJ. Call 201-837-9090 for information or with any questions.
